About Fanlistings
According to TheFanlistings.org:
"A Fanlisting is an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are) - they are just a place where you can have your name listed along with other fans of the same subject. "
About Type O Negative
Type O Negative is a Gothic/Doom metal band from Brooklyn, New York City. Although commonly viewed as a gothic metal band, Type O has also incorporated elements of doom metal. Their dramatic lyrical emphasis on themes of romance, depression, and death has resulted in the nickname "The Drab Four" (in homage to The Beatles' "Fab Four" moniker). The band went Platinum with 1993's Bloody Kisses, and Gold with 1996's October Rust, and has gained an enormous following with seven studio albums, two best-of compilations, and concert DVDs. Their most recent album is 2007's Dead Again. On April 14, 2010 lead vocalist, bassist (as well as principal songwriter) Peter Steele died, reportedly from heart failure. The future of the band is not known at this time.

About "Prophets of Doom"
"Prophets of Doom" is the only fanlisting for Type O Negative approved by The Fanlistings Network. It was created and is maintained by me: Shannon, a 25 year-old music geek from Metro-Detroit, Michigan. I was first introduced to Type O Negative in junior high in middle school. Over the following months I had to replace my copies of "Bloody Kisses" and "October Rust" after literally playing the discs to death. ToN provided the soundtrack to my teenaged years, and have remained one of my favourite bands.
The technical details: the fanlisting portions of the site are powered by a modified version of Listing Admin. Both its XHTML and CSS are valid. Some background images are from SkylineIllusions.net.
